Our History

Service and Support

The DWPC was founded in 1978 by a group of women who believed there was a need for a local women’s club that provided support to women and families in the community.  Through the years, the DWPC has responded to the changing needs of the community and continues to bring women together through collegial events that focus on community service and fundraising.

Through the generous support of our members and our fundraising efforts in the community, the DWPC continues our tradition of donating scholarships more than forty years later. Each year we award high school scholarships to Dublin City School students and provide continuing education scholarships to women seeking to further their education.

Commitment to Community

As the needs of our community change, The DWPC has adapted and expanded our outreach by supporting local non-profits including the Dublin Food Pantry, No Kid Fights Cancer Alone and Dress for Success. The DWPC continues to develop community partnerships and in June 2019 dedicated an outdoor bench to the new Dublin Library.

Our members play a key role in driving the initiatives we support through their commitment to volunteering and support of fundraising events.  Learn more about how you can help us make a positive impact in our community.
